Kevin Leicht was born into a family of racers. His interest peeked early, and at the age of 5 1/2, he began competing in go karts, in the South Carolina Dirt Series. Between 1993 and 1997 he recorded 49 starts, 23 wins and 33 top five finishes. It was apparent, that the family tradition would be carried on. More recently, Kevin has competed in NASCAR Late Model Stock Cars and in the UARA Touring Stock Cars. In 2006 he had a combined 26 starts, 10 Pole Awards, 6 Wins and 17 top fives. His 3rd place finish in the points championship was an outstanding achievement for an 18 year old driver.
Kevin hopes to follow in the footsteps of his cousin, NASCAR Busch Series Driver, Stephen Leicht.
