Veteran driver and NASCAR Busch Series Crew Chief, Terry Bacon , will compete in the ARCA REMAX Series. Terry has plenty of experience in the racecar and as a spokesperson. He compiled 30 heat wins and 10 Feature wins in a span of four years before becoming a successful engine builder for other teams. He owns and operates his own business of five years and is once again ready to get in the car and do something that he loves, and does very well. Name: Michael Phillips
Birthdate: November 2, 1963
Hometown: Charlottesville, VA
After graduating High School, Michael Phillips served in the United States Navy for eight years, 1982 thru 1990. His passion for racing began when his father gave him a 1969 MGB and, he attended a high risk driving envirornment school while serving in the Navy special warfare unit. After re-enlisting, he purchased a Renault and competed in the IMSA PRO-formance series on the east coast. His experience garnered him the Crew Chiew position in the Daytona Dash Series which he held for three years, winning the series Championship in 1988. Michael designed and built his current racecar, a Mazda RX-7 GT-3 and is the leader in the Southwest Division Points Championship points race.
